✅ Refined Practice Tips for This Variation

🔹 1. Support the Foundation

Ensure both sitting bones are grounded.

A folded blanket under the hips helps if hamstrings or hips are tight.

🔹 2. Initiate from the Core

Start the twist from the navel, then rib cage, then shoulders.

Keep the spine elongated rather than collapsing over.

🔹 3. Safe Shoulder Engagement

The binding arm should glide under the bent knee without strain in the shoulder.

Keep the chest broad, collarbones open.

🔹 4. Use of Opposite Arm

The opposite arm (reaching across) should not pull harshly; it helps leverage the twist.

The assistant’s support (as shown) is great for maintaining alignment.

🔹 5. Breath Work

Inhale: Lengthen the spine.

Exhale: Deepen the twist and soften into the posture.
