In 2010 Dr. Apurva Moved to Patna Bihar with a Vision of to provide Quality Healthcare service & has many first to his credit in the field of Urology in this part of the world such as
1. First Orthotopic Neo Bladder for Bladder cancer
2. First HOLEP Using 80-watt Lumenis Holmium Laser in Bihar & Jharkhand.
3. First RIRS Using Holmium Laser in Bihar & Jharkhand.
4. First laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for PROSTATE CANCER
5. First laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomy in Bihar
6. Helped in establishing the renal transplantation programme at PARAS HMRI hospital as well as Apollo Spectra Hospital Patna
7. One of the earliest proponents of endourology & laparoscopic urology in Bihar
Dr. Apurva Kr. Chaudhary is a founder member of various sub speciality sections of urological society of India such as Transplantation sub section, Urolithiasis sub section , female Urology sub section ,Uro- oncology sub section , paediatric urology sub section & andrology sub section .
He is also member of Indian society of organ transplantation & was active participant as a faculty during mid term hybrid conference of ISOT held at patna in march 2022’
During his initial years in patna he was instrumental in making the urology department of Ruban Memorial Hospital patna as the most vibrant centre of urology in this part of world.
• Dr. Apurva performed more than 12000 surgeries in last 15 years.
• His present responsibilities at PARAS HMRI include providing comprehensive urological services in the field of urinary stone disease , urological malignancies , renal transplantation ,
Reconstructive urology & andrology .
• He is also actively involved in training of DNB candidates with PARAS HMRI being the only centre in Bihar which is accredited with NBE for conducting such a programme in urology . At present there are three trainees undergoing 3 year training programme at PARAS HMRI department of urology
• He is also a member of INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION & is actively involved in RNTCP programme of Govt. of India which is being implemented in partnership with IMA. He has travelled to almost all the districts of Bihar to spread awareness about genitourinary tuberculosis
• He is name well regarded by his professional colleagues , loved by his subordinates staff and revered by general public for his strict work ethics & professional hard work.
