📃The Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) is a crucial structure in the wrist, providing stability and load-bearing support between the ulna and the carpal bones. A TFCC tear can cause significant pain and dysfunction, affecting daily activities and sports performance.

📌Mechanism of Injury

TFCC tears can result from:
➡️Trauma – A fall on an outstretched hand (FOOSH), excessive wrist twisting, or sudden forceful grip.
➡️Degeneration – Age-related wear and tear, repetitive wrist movements, or chronic overuse.

📌Symptoms

➡️Ulnar-sided wrist pain (pain on the little finger side)
➡️ Clicking, popping, or grinding sensations in the wrist
➡️Weak grip strength
➡️Pain aggravated by rotation or weight-bearing on the wrist

📌Special Tests

➡️ TFCC Load Test – Ulnar deviation with axial load and rotation
➡️ Press Test – Pain with pushing up from a chair using hands
➡️ Fovea Sign – Tenderness at the TFCC region
➡️Ulnar Grind Test – Pain with pronation and supination under load

📌Physical Therapy management

👉Modalities & Equipment:
Ice or ultrasound for pain relief
Wrist brace for immobilization in acute cases
Electrical stimulation for pain control

👉Exercise & Rehabilitation Plan:
➡️Early Phase (Pain & Inflammation Control)
• Wrist splinting for protection
• Gentle passive range of motion (ROM) exercises

➡️Intermediate Phase (Strength & Stability)
• Isometric strengthening of wrist flexors & extensors
• Proprioceptive training using a stability ball or Theraband

➡️Advanced Phase (Functional Rehab & Return to Activity)
• Weight-bearing exercises (e.g., modified push-ups)
• Grip and forearm strengthening (e.g., wrist curls, pronation/supination exercises)
• Sport or work-specific drills

■hip flexion from (iliacus, psoas, pectineus, re**us femoris, and sartorius.) = 0 to 126 degrees

■hip Extension from (Gluteus Maximus, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus, and Biceps Femoris (long head)) = 116 to 0 degrees.

■hip Adduction (Adductor Magnus, Adductor Longus, Adductor Brevis, Gracilis, Pectineus) = 0 to 45 degrees

■hip Abduction (Gluteus Medius, Tensor Fascia Latae) = 45 to 0 degrees

■hip External rotation (Gluteus Maximus, Gemellus Superior, Obturator Externus, Obturator Internus, Piriformis) = 0 to 45 degrees

■hip Internal rotation (Tensor Fascia Latae, Gluteus Minimus) = 0 to 45 degrees.

Plantar Fasciitis 🦶🔥
(One of the most common causes of heel pain)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
▪️ What Is It ?
- Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot , connecting your heel bone to your toes.
- It helps support the arch of the foot and absorbs shock during movement.
------------------------------------------------------
▪️ Common Causes :
- Prolonged standing or walking, especially on hard surfaces.
- Poor or unsupportive footwear.
- Obesity or sudden weight gain.
- Tight calf muscles or Achilles tendon.
- High-impact sports like running or jumping.
--------------------------------------------------------
▪️ Symptoms🔥 :
- Sharp heel pain, especially with the first steps in the morning or after prolonged rest.
- Pain improves slightly with movement but worsens again after long periods of standing or walking.
- Possible burning or aching sensation in the arch
----------------------------------------------------------
▪️ Treatment Options 🛠️ :
- Rest and reduce high-impact activities.
- Stretching exercises for the calves and plantar fascia.
- Use of supportive footwear or custom orthotics.
- Ice massage on the sole of the foot to reduce inflammation.
- Physical therapy with gradual strengthening.
- In chronic cases : shockwave therapy, night splints, or corticosteroid injections.
📌 When to See a Doctor ⚠️ :
- If pain persists for more than 2 weeks, interferes with daily activities, or worsens despite home care.
📌 Pro Tip :
- Don’t ignore morning heel pain early care can prevent chronic injury.
- Start caring for your feet before pain becomes a long-term issues
