It was a privilege to welcome Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, as the Chief Guest during Session 3 of our Foundation Day celebration held on February 17, 2026 at Drishtipunj Eye Hospital, Patna.

On this occasion, he inaugurated the Alcon Unity Vitreoretinal Cataract System (VCS) with Vitreoretinal Laser Technology (VLT), further strengthening advanced Retina and Cataract surgery services in our region. With this installation, has become the first eye hospital in North India and the second in India to offer this world-class technology.

I had the opportunity to brief him on the key features and clinical advantages of this system. In his address, Hon’ble Dy CM Shri VIJAY KUMAR SINHA congratulated Dr. Bandana Tiwary and me for bringing the latest global eye care technology to Patna and extended his best wishes.

The programme was graced by State Advocate General Shri P. K. Shahi and Former National President of the Indian Medical Association, Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh, along with several senior doctors and distinguished guests. Dr. Bandana Tiwary (Cataract, Cornea & LASIK Specialist) warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and dignitaries with floral bouquets and mementoes.

During Session 2 of the Foundation Day celebration (February 17, 2026) at Drishtipunj Eye Hospital, Patna, Hon’ble Minister of Bihar, Shri Vijay Kumar Choudhary, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the Alcon Unity VCS–VLT (Alcon Unity Vitreoretinal Cataract System with Vitreoretinal Laser Technology), marking a significant advancement in eye surgery services in our region. In his address, he appreciated our efforts to bring advanced eye care technology to Patna and conveyed his best wishes.

The programme was also graced by HAM State President and former minister Dr Anil Kumar, Hon’ble MLA from Arwal Shri MANOJ KUMAR, senior public representatives, renowned doctors, and other distinguished guests. Director Dr. Bandana Tiwary (Cataract, Cornea & LASIK Specialist) welcomed the Chief Guest and dignitaries with floral bouquets, angavastram, and mementoes.

We remain committed to bringing world-class eye care to Patna and Bihar.

During the Foundation Day celebration held on 17th February at Drishtipunj Eye Hospital, we were honoured to welcome Hon’ble Health Minister of Bihar, Shri Mangal Pandey Ji, as the Chief Guest in Session 1. He formally inaugurated the Alcon Unity Vitreoretinal Cataract System (VCS) with Vitreoretinal Laser Technology (VLT), further strengthening advanced Retina and Cataract surgery services in our region.

I had the opportunity to present the key features of this technology and explain how it enhances surgical precision and patient outcomes. With this installation, our hospital has become the first in North India and the second in India to offer this advanced system. In his address, the Hon’ble Health Minister appreciated our efforts to make modern eye care technology available in Patna and conveyed his best wishes to our entire team.

The programme was also graced by Hon’ble senior RSS leaders Shri Mohan Singh Ji, Shri Rana Pratap Singh Ji, and Shri Umesh Ji; former minister and MLA Shri Jibesh Kumar Ji; and HAM State President Dr. Anil Kumar Ji, along with distinguished doctors and other eminent guests.
