Wisdom tooth
Apart from pain wisdom tooth may cause decay of neighbouring teeth as well. Food trapped in the gum flap covering a partially erupted wisdom tooth causes inflammation a condition known as pericoronitis.
People who delay the removal of these teeth may suffer from cyst formation or severe infection. Therefore early removal of wisdom tooth is recommended.
