Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday pledged to support the war against to***co and the mission to eradicate oral cancer by 2022.

Mr. Pawar, who is a oral cancer survivor himself, acknowledged the hardships that he went through due to his to***co and areca nut consuming habit.

“Because of oral cancer, I had to undergo a major surgery. All my teeth has to be removed. I wish someone had warned me 40 years ago,” the NCP leader said at an event organised by the Indian Dental Association ahead of World Oral Health Day on March 20. Mr. Pawar signed a pledge to take up to***co control with the Centre.
