Today we have the most sinister of all problems...
The most misdiagnosed problem!
Back pain!
And we have...
The secret answer to your problem!
Unravel and get your diagnosis yourself!
Frozen shoulder, piriformis syndrome, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated disc, chest pain, palpitations etc etc...
Sound familiar? Are you suffering from any of these?
Let's look at the underlying cause! Facts first! Then step by step we can put the pieces of the puzzle in their right place.
Here are the pieces!
First
It all begins in the brain! The brain is not just the organ inside the cranium or skull. It extends from the back of the head into the neck, and this extension continues all the way down to the sacrum/coccyx. This extension of the brain is called the spinal cord (image 1).
Second
Next we look at the nerves that innervate the spine in the neck or base of the brain (image 2). The nerve that serves the breathing muscle (diaphragm), the heart and the lungs innervates the spine at the base of the brain! It is important for breathing, as it passes motor information to the diaphragm and receives sensory information from it. Something to note..
Third
The overview of the whole spine (image 3). This is the nerve supply that is responsible for rest, digest and repair of the organs.
Fourth
The nerve that controls organ function (image 4) is also located at the base of the brain and moves down the neck and along the upper back, branching out to the organs.
Fifth
The lower back organs (image 5)! The sensory input is directly coming from the brain but the brain responds to information sent to it via the spinal cord. So in cases where infertility is the diagnosis, lower back pain or neck pain, could be the symptom.
Sixth
In image (6), we can see the parts of the body affected by the different segments of the spine.
It affects the input and output from the brain to the organs. Hence, infertility, bowel and bladder problems could be THE SYMPTOM not the cause. Or vice versa, stimuli like unhealthy food served to the body can alter (the normal feedback loop) information input and output.
Seventh
Knowing the facts about OUR anatomy, any back pain would automatically have a direct relationship and cause ensuing from the spinal cord and the brain, whether the stimulus is mechanical (movement/stress) or chemical (diet/stress). (image 7). Hence, back pain can never be seen simply as a regional problem or that an organ is reacting on its own in isolation.
Eight
Pain, for example, in the hand and fingers (carpal tunnel) or in the feet and toes (sciatica) is rooted in the spine and the brain is in charge. Pain that results from injury can be categorised in two; short-term or long-term. If pain is short-term, this is normal. Pain causes a stress response in the body (image 8). Rest, digest and repair are paused, the thyroid is paused, and the adrenal glands secrete the greatest anti-inflammatory known to man (cortisol and epinephrine/nor-epinephrine). Once pain is resolved by the body, the thyroid resumes function (rest, digest and repair) and the adrenals settle down until the next distress call.
Ninth
Mind over matter. This is the best part. Two thousand years ago they called it the elements and humours. Today, through technology we are able to see 'the 2000 years old diagnosis'; the physician diagnosed all the above in this manner, with this method (image 9).
Knowing all this... how do we connect the pieces of the puzzle and find the root of the problem? How can we diagnose ourselves our-self?
Let's take frozen shoulder-the popular one is the right shoulder by far. Directly below the right shoulder we have the liver and gall bladder. The nerve root is in the neck but look in the image at where it goes after that. (image 10)
Let's take palpitations or breathing problems. (Image 11) There are a record number of complaints in every clinic; and what do the patients have in their pocket? A blue or brown inhaler/pump.
"My neck hurts"... "My shoulders hurt" ... "My lower back hurts"
What is your interpretation of back pain now?
Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam was treated with cupping on the two veins at the side of the neck and the base of the neck. {Saheeh}
