Bajra has a low glycemic index i.e does not affect the blood sugar levels much . Whereas wheat and jowar have high glycemic index . Hence Bajra is highly recommended for diabetics .

Recipe - Corn balls

Ingredients - Boiled corn , Ginger garlic chilli paste , besan , rice flour , salt , chat masala

Procedure - Grind the boiled corn and add besan , rice flour , Ginger garlic paste ,salt , chat masala . Mix well . Make balls out of it and shallow fry using little amount of oil . Do not deep fry as it may reduce the nutritional quality .

Best for evening snacks . Healthy but tasty

Ingredients - Moong flour , soya flour , wheat flour in equal amounts , ghee , jaggery , dry coconut , til

Procedure - Roast the flour in ghee for a few minutes . Now keep the flour aside and melt jaggery . Add the roasted flour in it and mix well . Add dry roasted coconut and til . Allow the mixture to spread in thali and cut in pieces after some time
