A glimpse about the TYPHOID VACCINE.

The Typhoid vaccine is used to prevent infection by a certain bacteria Salmonella Typhi.

Children can get this infection by eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water.

This vaccine is recommended for children from 10months of age onwards.

The injectable vaccine has ~75% protection; however food and water precautions are important.
