IMA PONDA, in association with Vachanvat Granthdalan, organised a program for the general public on Understanding teenagers’. The program was held on Saturday, 21st October, at IMA HOUSE, between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Around 35 people attended the program.
The speakers were Dr. Rewa Dubhashi, Consultant Gynecologist and Dr. Priyanka Sahasrabhojini, Consultant Psychiatrist.
While Dr. Rewa spoke on the physical and hormonal changes that occurs in boys and girls during adolescence and teenage, Dr. Priyanka highlighted the mental state of a teen and the changing thought processes of the newer ‘tech-friendly’ children.
There was an interactive question and answer session after the talks.

The program was attended by Dr. Deelip Kerkar, President IMA, along with other members, namely Dr. Purnima Usgaonker, Dr. Dattaram Desai, Dr. Shweta Khandeparkar and Dr Megha Savoikar and Dr. Sarvesh Dubhashi.

Sneh mandir bandora organised eye checkup camp today in association with IMA PONDA
161 patients were examined. Glasses will be given free. 17 cataract surgeries will be done free .

Eye camp was organised at Sacorda education society school, dharbandora on 22/10/2023

Dr. Rajesh Bhat and his team examined 113 patients. 11 patients were detected with cataract and advised cataract surgery. Free glasses will be given and free cataract surgeries will be performed on needy patients. Camp was conducted with help of Rotary club of Ponda.

Multispeciality camp held by IMA PONDA in collaboration with Mardol Multipurpose Cooperative bank under Aao Gao chale abhyan with nearly 125 pts being examined under variety of specialities by our doctors-

Gen medicine ( Dr Manish Debsikdar,
Dr Ajay Pednekar, Dr DattaramDesai) Ophthalmology (Dr Kunkolienkar),
ENT ( Dr Laxmikant Naik),
gynecology ( Dr Rewa Dubashi),
orthopedic ( Dr Aaron Soares),
Paediatrics (Dr Purnima Usgaonkar) and Surgeon(Dr Kadam),
Dr Deelip and Dr Rajaram were also present for the event. Blood Hb and diabetes check up and BP monitoring done with helpnof dilasa staff. Medicines dispensed by IMA ( jointly sponsored with bank) with the help of Kerker pharmacists. Eye examination help offered by Haldankar staff. Overall camp was a great success.

IMA PONDA today organized a mega multispeciality camp at peaceful society Madkai under Aao Gao chale abhiyan with nearly 112 pts being examined under variety of specialities by our doctors-

Dr Rajaram Mahambrey varicose veins disease advice and consultation .

Dr Rajaram Mahambrey along with Dr Deelip Kerkar conducted COLS demonstration and training for public 50 participants at Peaceful Society Madkai

Dr Dattaram Desai was also present for the event who had to leave in between because of IMA Goa state meeting.

A Special Children disability camp by IMA PONDA in association with Rotary club Of Ponda New Generation on 13/11/2022 from 930-am to 1230 pm
Total 40 children with orthopaedic ENT and Opthalmology defects were consulted and necessary medical advice given .

Dr Aaron Soares Orthopaedic Surgeon and current secretary IMA ponda saw 21 children with ranging from cerebral palsy to Duchnene Muscular dystrophy to rarest diseases like Majeed syndrome chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO). Referral to associated dept given and correction of prosthetics measured and advised .

Dr Shweta Khandeparkar examined children and staff with Total 34 Treatment advised Glasses prescribed
3 children needing additional check up called to clinic .will be seen free of charge.
Parents accompanying them and teachers (15) were also seen and prescribed treatment/ glasses as needed

Dr Laxmikant Naik examined 20 children with hearing disability and assesment for throat nasal infection was done . Proper antibiotic protocol explained to parents and Follow up of children advised as needed .

*World Earth Day* 🌍

IMA PONDA took part in a tree planting exercise at Dilasa Palliative care center gardens .
Different varieties of fruiting plants , Guvava , Cashew , lemon , mango etc total 8 in number were planted by members, proper planting with fertilizer , potting soil was done. Guests Rtn Mr Sameer Pikle representative from Rotary club of Ponda New generation , Mr Upendra Gaunekar resident of Bandora farmagudi , Mr Mandurkar Civil engineer took part in the planting exercises.
