As part of International Women’s Day 2026, JIPMER organised an insightful session on “Superwoman Syndrome”, highlighting an often unspoken reality in women’s mental health.

The session was delivered by Dr. Lakshmi Prabha, who spoke about the silent emotional burden many women carry while balancing multiple responsibilities at home and work.

She emphasised that true strength is not about doing everything alone, but about recognising limits, seeking support, and prioritising self-care. The session encouraged women to move away from perfectionism, set healthy boundaries, and value mental well-being without guilt.

Through this initiative, JIPMER continues its commitment to promoting mental health awareness, empathy, and holistic well-being.
