Honored to serve as faculty at the 9th Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Summit!
I had the opportunity to present on a critical yet often overlooked subject — Complex Knee Injuries. Too many cases go undiagnosed or inadequately treated, leading to poor outcomes for young, active patients.
In my talk, I highlighted:
🔹 The role of posterior slope correction osteotomy with HTO in young patients with failed ACL and persistent laxity.
🔹 Why an intact PCL with posterior drawer does not always require ligament reconstruction.
🔹 The importance of addressing alignment issues first — not every laxity is solved by ligament surgery.
As a joint preservation surgeon, it was equally rewarding to demonstrate techniques in:
OATS procedure for focal cartilage defects in the patellofemoral joint, tibiofemoral joint, and ankle OCD lesions.
The right diagnosis and thoughtful surgical planning are what ultimately allow athletes and young patients to return to sport safely and successfully.
Grateful to the organizers and fellow faculty for such a vibrant academic exchange. 🙏
