A 23 year old unmarried female patient visited "Suratna Clinic" having complaints of -
- on and off bleeding since 14 days
- Irregular Menstrual Cycle since 2 years.
After detailed clinical history and consultation, advised Sonography and a few blood tests.

After reviewing sonography and blood reports, She has been diagnosed as "P.C.O.D."

3 months of oral medicines were given. Advised Diet and Regular Exercise.

After 3 months USG and Blood tests were repeated.
Now, P.C.O.D is cured, and reports are "within normal limit."

** PAP SMEAR TEST **

What is PAP smear test?

PAP smear is a screening procedure for Cervical cancer.
It tests for the presence of Precancerous or Cancerous cells on your Cervix.
The Human Papilloma Virus ( HPV ) Test checks cells for infection with high-risk HPV type that can cause Cervical Cancer.
The PAP test ( also called a PAP smear or Cervical Cytology ) Collect Cervical cells so that they can be checked for changes caused by HPV that may, if left untreated, turn into Cervical Cancer.

How is the test done?

During routine procedure, cells from your cervix are gently scrapped away and examined for abnormal growth.

Who needs a PAP smear?

Screening starts at the age of 25 years till the age of 65 years.

How often should it be done?

Below 21 years of age – not needed

From 21 years to 29 years of age - after every 3 years

From 30 years to 65 years of age - every 3 years

And

If done in combination with HPV test, then - after every 5 years

After 65 years of age – may no longer need.

How accurate are the results?

Regular screening reduces Cervical cancer rate and mortality by at least 80%.

After detailed medical history, necessary and relevant investigations are done.

Patient is diagnosed with "Hypothyroidism and PCOD".

After 3 month of treatment her TFT is within normal limit and PCOD is cured.

MENORRHAGIA

A 27 year old female patient visited "SURATNA CLINIC" with Irregular, Heavy, and Prolonged (1 month bleeding) me**es since approximately 3 to 4 years.
Prolonged bleeding is not relieved even after Tranexamic Acid (medicine used to stop bleeding) and Hormonal pills.

After detailed medical history, examination and necessary investigations, patient is treated for 3 months.

The patient recovered and having normal me**es now.

Her post menstrual Endometrium is reduced from 9.3 mm to 4.3 mm.

A 62 year old Female patient came to Suratna Clinic with her derranged Lipid Profile and few other Blood Investigation reports.

On Examination she is diagnosed with Stage 2 Hypertension. Required investigations are advised. Antihypertensive and other medications started. Do's and don’ts explained to her.

After treatment, now her BP is within normal limit and her derranged Lipid Profile is Normal.
