🧡When illness enters our life, the first instinct is often to ask:
“Why did this happen to me?”
🧡We look for someone or something to blame —
Doctors, stress, genetics, work pressure, circumstances… sometimes even God.
Blame is a very human response.
It gives us a temporary sense of explanation.
💜But over time I realised something during my own journey of facing cancer three times.
Blame keeps us stuck.
Responsibility sets us free.
Responsibility means asking a different question:
“What is this experience inviting me to learn?”
💜Every disease — whether it is cancer, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, or burnout — carries biological causes that need proper medical treatment.
But illness can also become a powerful mirror. It may show us:
• Where we have been ignoring our body
• Where stress has become a constant companion
• Where we have been living out of alignment with ourselves
• Where we have forgotten to rest, feel, or set boundaries
Recovery begins not only with treatment, but with awareness.
🧡The moment we move from “Why me?” to “What can I change now?”,
we reclaim our power.
🧡Disease then stops being just a crisis.
It becomes an opportunity for growth, realignment, and deeper self-understanding.
In my own life, illness forced me to slow down, listen to my body, and question patterns I had been repeating for years.
And that shift — from blame to responsibility — changed the way I approached healing.
💜Because while we may not control everything that happens to our body,
we always have a say in how consciously we participate in our recovery.
Sometimes the most powerful question we can ask during illness is:
“What is life trying to teach me through this?”
