BROAD LIGAMENT FIBROID - LAPAROSCOPIC MYOMECTOMY ( GOA)

Young lady presenting with repeated urinary complaints was diagnosed to have a 8*7 cm right broad ligament fibroid.

Laparoscopic Myomectomy was performed using vasopressin and the fibroid was enucleated entirely from the right broad ligament.
The fibroid was bisected using 5mm Endoknife and the specimen was retrieved through colpotomy .

The entire surgery was performed with as less as 10 ml blood loss and the patient was discharged home the next day.

PERFORMED A LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY FOR A LARGE OVARIAN CYST IN AN ELDERLY LADY

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops on an o***y. They're very common.

An ovarian cyst usually only causes symptoms if it splits (ruptures), is very large or blocks the blood supply to the ovaries.

This Huge Uterus comes from a lady with Heavy periods and pain. Upon consultation many huge fibroids were detected and patient underwent a successful Laparoscopic removal of her uterus along with the fibroids. To our surprise the total weight of the fibroids turned out to be a massive 1.4 kilos. The patient was discharged the next day and is doing well now.
Fibroids are very common and may not require surgery in most cases, however such huge fibroids need urgent medical care and may cause severe bleeding and anemia if not treated timely.

CHOCOLATE CYST OF O***Y

A chocolate cyst is a benign and blood-filled cyst found in women of reproductive age. This cyst can be formed in the o***y or encapsulating the o***y. The chocolate cyst got its name due to the dark, brown colored, tar-like substance present inside it.

The most common symptoms are :

*Difficulty in becoming pregnant

This comes from a very young girl who presented with severe lower abdominal pain not controlled with medications

Upon doing Laparoscopy , I noticed a very rare sight of an isolated fallopian tube torsion resulting in gangrene of the tube.

After the laparoscopic Surgery patient was stable and pain free

This one comes from a 48 year old who complained of heavy periods for months, uncontrolled by medication. She was finally diagnosed with multiple fibroids and underwent a successful Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and was discharged the next day.
