Same disease, Ovarian Cyst, but Different presentations. Middle aged lady presented with torsion with gangrene whereas young girl presented with massive Cyst occupying whole of the abdomen. Moral of the story...... please get an abdominal Ultrasound when symptomatic and show the respective Doctor at the earliest.

A Surgeon lives for such moments. Finally, it's the smile on the patients face, which matters. Only, here it was a familiar patient, my good friend and my ex-colleague at DHS, Dr Sadhana Shetye. She came up with gangrenous cholecystitis with peritonitis, underwent an emergency difficult Key hole Sugery and recovered completely. My humble request to all, to get a compulsory usg after 40yrs and if detected with Gallstones, to consult a Surgeon and get treated for it at the earliest.
