Dr A. P. Majeed Khan was a pioneer in technical training and one of the earliest institution builders in the region. In the 1950s, he established one of Kerala’s first technical training institutes, which later played a critical role in training skilled manpower during the period of land reforms and the India–China war, when the country urgently needed technically trained personnel. In 1984, he founded the Noorul Islam Educational Trust, under which engineering colleges, arts and science institutions, a deemed university, and major healthcare facilities were established. Through decades of sustained effort, his work expanded access to learning and healthcare across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, leaving behind institutions that continue to serve society.
As an organization, we honor his extraordinary contributions with deep respect. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and the entire Noorul Islam educational community. His legacy as a visionary institution builder and educator will continue to inspire generations, and his enduring impact on education and healthcare will be remembered with gratitude and reverence.
