This guided practice uses a wall and a block to help stabilize and deepen your twist, ensuring proper alignment and a safe back.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Facing the Wall: Stand facing the wall and take a wide stance (approx. 3 to \bm{3 \frac{1}{2}} feet) with your hands pressing against the wall for balance.
2. Turn & Place: Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and rotate your waist to the right. Place a yoga block just outside your right foot. 🧱
3. Initiate the Twist: Raise your left arm up. As you exhale and bend forward, turn your torso and place your left palm (or fingertips) firmly onto the block.
4. Align & Support: Ensure your back maintains contact with the wall. This helps keep your spine straight and prevents rounding in the lower back. Pay attention to your outer ribs, shoulder blades, and head touching the wall. βœ…
