🔸 Holi is the festival of colours celebrated with immense enthusiasm and energy in India and around the world. It comes in the Phalguna month according to the Hindu Lunar Calendar.

🔸 In 2026, we are celebrating Rangawali Holi, the festival of spring and love, or Dhulandi, on the 3rd of March. Holika Dahan is on the 2nd of March.

🔸 Kindly note: Due to the lunar eclipse, the festival will be observed on 4th March instead of 3rd as per traditional guidelines.

🔸 This occasion marks the commencement of the spring season of harvest. In addition, it also marks the end of the winter season.

🔸 Hindus commemorate Holi as a symbol of the victory of good over evil. This stems from the historical beliefs saying that Lord Narasimha had protected Prahlada, his ardent devotee and the son of Hiranyakshipu, the demon king, from the conspiracy of Holika on this day.

🔸 Since then, people perform Holika Dahan by lighting bonfires at night. They also pray to Lord Vishnu to protect them from their inner evils, the way he shielded Prahlada.

🔸 Holi also signifies the unconditional love of Radha-Krishna, equality beyond differences, and surrender to divine bliss.

🪷 Born into a humble yet deeply spiritual orthodox Brahmin family in Kamarpukur, West Bengal, Gadadhar Chattopadhyay later became the priest of the Dakshineswar Kali Temple and was reverently known among his devotees as Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

🪷 Sri Ramakrishna lived and practiced the truths of many spiritual paths such as Bhakti, Ta**ra, Vedanta, Islam, and Christianity, revealing that all religions ultimately lead to the same Supreme Truth.

🔸 Dwapara is the third Yuga in a Yuga cycle of four world ages. The day when the Dwapara Yuga ended is observed as “Dwapara Yuga Diwas.”

🔸 As per the Hindu Lunar Calendar, Dwapara Yuga Diwas comes on the Krishna Amavasya of Phalguna month. This year, it is on the 17th February 2026.

🔸 Dwapara Yuga observed humans losing their virtues and moral values. They were becoming increasingly inclined towards worldly pleasures.

🔸 It was during this Yuga that Dharma started losing its essence. Lord Vishnu took his eighth avatar in the form of Shri Krishna to restore righteousness on the earth.

🔸 Lord Krishna took part in the war of the Mahabharata, the greatest epic of all time, as the charioteer of Arjuna to guide the Pandava army and bring back Dharma to life.

🔸 After 36 years of this battle, Shri Hari Krishna left his body on the earth and returned to Vaikuntha Dhaam. This led to the conclusion of the Dwapara Yuga.

🔸 Mahashivratri is the divine night dedicated to Lord Shiva. It comes on the Chaturdashi tithi of Phalguna month as per the North Indian Hindu calendar, whereas Magha month as per the South Indian Hindu calendar.
