Reheating Oil: A Risky Business
Reheating oil is generally not recommended due to the potential health risks.
When oil is heated repeatedly, it undergoes chemical changes that can lead to the formation of harmful compounds. These compounds can include:
* Free radicals: These unstable molecules can damage cells and contribute to chronic diseases.
* Trans fats: These unhealthy fats are linked to increased heart disease risk.
* Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs): Some of these compounds are known to be carcinogenic.
Other issues with reheating oil:
* Smoke point: Repeated heating lowers the smoke point of the oil, meaning it will break down faster and release harmful fumes.
* Flavor: Reheated oil can develop an unpleasant, rancid taste.
* Food contamination: Reheating oil can increase the risk of foodborne illness if food particles are present.
Tips for using oil safely:
* Use high-quality oil: Oils with high smoke points, like avocado or safflower oil, are generally better options.
* Avoid overheating: Overheating oil can accelerate the breakdown process.
* Strain oil: Remove food particles before storing oil.
* Store oil properly: Keep oil in a cool, dark place in a tightly sealed container.

Helpful way to distinguish between primary and secondary infertility.

* Primary infertility: If you’ve never been pregnant, even after trying for an extended period, this could be primary infertility. Woman’s chance of becoming pregnant declines with age. Some of the factors that can contribute to primary infertility are poor diet, lack of exercise, and hormonal imbalances.

* Secondary infertility: If you’ve previously had one or more pregnancies but are now facing difficulty getting pregnant again, you may be experiencing secondary infertility. Secondary infertility can result from problems with the uterus or fallopian tubes. Blockages in these reproductive organs can make it difficult for eggs to be fertilized or for embryos to implant in the uterus.

Knee osteoarthritis (janu Sandhigata Vata)is a degenerative joint disease that can cause pain and stiffness in the knee.

It is very common condition especially in older adults.
There are ayurvedic treatments that can help to manage the symptoms and improve quality of life.

Janu Basti is a therapeutic procedure that involves holding medicated oil around the knee joint. It is a unique combination of Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation) therapies.

Snehana is an Ayurvedic therapy that involves applying oil to the body. It is typically used to treat conditions caused by Vata dosha, such as dryness and roughness. Swedana is another Ayurvedic therapy that involves inducing sweat. It is typically used to treat conditions caused by Kapha dosha, such as coldness and congestion.

Janu Basti is considered to be particularly effective in treating knee pain caused by Vata dosha. The medicated oil helps to nourish and lubricate the joint, while the heat from the Swedana helps to reduce pain and inflammation.
