Are you happy to see that you weigh lesser than before on the scale ???⚖️😃

Don’t get too happy…… You maybe losing weight but just not fat yet 🤷‍♀️

So what’s the difference between FAT LOSS and WEIGHT LOSS ❓

Weight loss is a reduction of total body mass. So when you see the number on the scale go down it could be from one or a combination of fat, muscle, and water loss. Most commonly water loss and muscle is a common problem when you perform only cardio exercises.

What is FAT LOSS then ❓

Fat loss refers to losing only the body fat. This would be indicated by a lower body fat percentage.
Body fat percentage can be measured in the following ways:

✅Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA)
✅Hydrostatic Weighing
✅Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA)
✅Skinfold Calipers
✅Smart scales

So how to reduce your body fat percentage?
When you lose weight, some is from muscle loss. To preserve this lean tissue (which supports your metabolism), eat enough protein and strength train (in addition to cardio), two factors that will aid in eventual fat loss👍🏻

Eating balanced amounts of both probiotics and prebiotics can help ensure that you have the right balance of these bacteria to keep your gut microbiota healthy. ✅✅✅

A 2013 study on bacteria in the gut confirms that a wide variety of this good type of bacteria can aid in immune system functions, improve symptoms of depression, and help address obesity, among other benefits.
Additionally, some of your gut bacteria form vitamin K and short-chain fatty acids.
