Case Highlight: Tendoachilles Repair Using Modified Krakow’s Technique

A young, active laborer presented with a complete Tendoachilles tear—an injury that can significantly impact mobility and livelihood, particularly in physically demanding occupations.

Surgical repair was undertaken using the Modified Krakow’s Suturing Technique, a reliable and widely accepted method that offers excellent biomechanical strength and promotes optimal tendon healing. Intraoperatively, precise approximation of the tendon ends was achieved, ensuring secure fixation and alignment.

Notably, the patient demonstrated immediate restoration of ankle plantarflexion post-repair—an encouraging indicator of the repair integrity and early functional recovery.

Orthopaedic Case Success Story :-

Intra-articular Fracture | Medial Femoral Condyle

A young, active female patient with high physical demands presented with an intra-articular fracture of the distal femur medial condyle.

Given the nature of the injury and the patient's lifestyle, I performed Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) using medial distal femur plating to ensure anatomical alignment and joint stability.

Post-operative recovery has been excellent. X-rays confirm solid bone healing, and the patient has regained a high level of functional mobility—a great outcome considering the complexity of the fracture.

Precision, early intervention, and the right surgical approach can make a big difference in long-term joint function—especially in young, active individuals.
