Interesting case to share with you all
49/F With Pedunculated Cervical Fibroid (4x5cms) Protruding out of the Introitus.
Cervix cannot be appreciated seperately, pinch test positive.
Difficult to access the plains.
Diagnostic Scopy was performed which showed a descended fundus due to the weight of the fibroid.
Both Ovaries and Tubes Visualised.
Decided to go for a vaginal approach,
Cervix and bladder not well appreciated, infiltration with NS done along the demarcating lines.
With traction, infiltration difficult Vaginal Hysterectomy was performed.
Also pelvic floor repair done.

Delivered a lecture on occasion of "World Menstrual Hygeine Day" on a topic of "Menstrual Hygeine and Safe Sexual Practises" for all women students and faculty members of Modern College of Engineering, MBA Department, Shivajinagar, Pune.

A trending topic, and an issue which is discussed very often nowadays is women health and the day to day challenges it poses to women in their routine life.
It is of utmost importance that we view issues such as Menstrual Hygeine, Safe Sexual Practises, PCOS, Mental Health etc as some of the alarming factors who affect women health in a direct or indirect way. Ensuring proper knowledge and education should be shared with these women about such issues which cause a lot of mental,physical, social and emotional trauma in order to help them understand, self diagnose, know the alarming signals, and make them capable enough to sustain is the objective.
Gratitude to all the faculty members and students for showing the willingness for open channel of communication on an issue which needs a lot of attention.
