🪔When we think of Abhyanga, we often think of Diwali. During the festival, we indulge in the tradition of oil massages and Abhyanga Snan. But is this practice only meant for Diwali?

Ayurveda tells us:

"Abhyangam aacharet nityam, sa jaraa shramavaataha |
Drushti prasaada pushti aayu susvapna twak daardhyakrut ||"
-Ashtanga Hridaya Sutrasthana, 2.8

अभ्यङ्गमाचरेन्नित्यं सजरा श्रमवातहा |
दृष्टिप्रसाद पुष्टि आयुः सुस्वप्नत्वक्त्व दार्ढ्यकृत् ।।

"Abhyangam acharet nityam" means that Abhyanga, or oil massage, should be a part of our daily routine, and not just during festivals.

The benefits are immense some of which are:
delayed aging, reduced fatigue, healthy toned muscles, balanced nervous system, improved skin complexion and texture, good circulation, and balanced VATA DOSHA.


For children, regular Abhyanga promotes healthy growth and strengthens their body. For pregnant women and new mothers, it is essential for postpartum care. It also helps in relieving joint pain as we age.

I'm sharing some useful prompts to get you started on the journey of writing a gratitude Journal.

Gratitude is an affirmation of all that’s good. But it plays a powerful role in transforming our health and lives. When we embrace gratitude as a living, breathing practice, it can change our lives in ways we never expected. We begin to see abundance everywhere, and in everything. What we have becomes plenty, what we are becomes enough, and what surrounds us becomes a living ceremony, worth paying attention to and honoring every minute we are alive.

The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. Apart from mental & physical, it has social benefits as well because gratitude is a social emotion. Research has shown that practicing and expressing gratitude can improve our life satisfaction, increase our self-esteem, enhance our optimism, deepen our relationships and even help us sleep better.

One way to practice it is writing Gratitude Journal. Those who are new to this can make use of the journal prompts given here and embark on their journey. You can share with your family and friends too.

Real health is much deeper than reports, symptoms, or diagnoses.

Thousands of years ago, Ayurveda defined true health as:

समदोषः समाग्निश्च समधातु मलःक्रियाः।
प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनः स्वस्थ इत्यभिधीयते॥

-सुश्रुत संहिता

“One who is established in Self, who has balanced doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), balanced agni (digestive fire), properly formed dhatus (tissues), proper elimination of malas (waste products), well-functioning bodily processes, and whose mind, soul and senses are full of bliss is called a healthy person.”

And today, the World Health Organization defines health as:

“A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease.”

Different timelines.
Different words.
Same powerful truth → Health = Complete Balance.

✨ Balance in your body
✨ Balance in your mind
✨ Balance in your relationships
✨ Balance in your inner world

Because what we often ignore is—
Your digestion affects your mood.
Your stress affects your hormones.
Your thoughts affect your body.

Ayurveda never separated these…
