"Illnesses do not come upon us out of the blue. They are developed from small daily sins against nature. When enough sins have accumulated, illnesses will suddenly appear."

Ayurveda echoes this wisdom through the concept of "Pragyaparadha (प्रज्ञापराध)"—the crime against wisdom. As stated in 'Charaka Samhita':

"धीधृतिस्मृतिविभ्रष्टः कर्म यत्कुरुते अशुभम्।
प्रज्ञापराधं तं विद्यात् सर्वदोषप्रकोपणम्।।"

✨ Meaning:*When a person’s intellect (Dhi), restraint (Dhriti), and memory (Smriti) become disturbed, they engage in harmful actions, called "Pragyapradh" (apradh= sin, against pragya= one's own wisdom), leading to an imbalance of all Doshas and ultimately paving way for diseases.

🔹 This shloka emphasizes that knowingly engaging in harmful actions, despite having the wisdom to avoid them, leads to disease.It manifests as:
✔ Ignoring inner wisdom and natural body rhythms
✔ Indulging in unhealthy food and habits
✔ Suppressing emotions and natural urges
✔ Overworking the body and mind

🔹Both Ayurveda and modern medicine agree—disease is not an accident, but a result of our repeated ignorance. Small, daily transgressions accumulate, and illness appears as their consequence. It highlights the importance of self-awareness, disciplined living, and alignment with natural laws to maintain health and well-being. 🌿

Healing begins the moment we stop betraying our own wisdom. Prevention isn’t just Ayurvedic—it’s a universal truth. 🌿💛
