A Light Extinguished, A World Dimmed.
With hearts heavy and an unbearable grief, we offer our deepest, most sorrowful Shradhanjali to Dr. P. Namperumalsamy (PN sir).
The world has lost not just a pioneering ophthalmologist, but a compassionate healer whose very essence was dedicated to illuminating lives.
He was a revered mentor, a guiding star and now, a profound absence.
The flame of the Aravind Eye Care System, once so brightly carried by Dr. Namperumalsamy, now flickers in the devastating wake of his passing.
He was more than a leader in retinal care and diabetic retinopathy; he was the very embodiment of hope, transforming eye care delivery not just in India, but across the globe.
His selfless service, his tireless dedication, were a sacred promise kept to humanity, bringing the precious gift of sight to millions and solace to countless more.
How can we ever truly measure the void left by such boundless generosity?
He lived, truly lived, by the profound principle that "Service to humanity is service to God."
Now, his legacy is etched not just in medical journals, but in the very souls of those he touched – through vision mercifully restored, through communities uplifted from darkness and through generations of eye care professionals who carry forward the torch ignited by his unparalleled humility and unwavering excellence.
Each life that sees because of him is a testament to the colossal heart we have lost.
Though his physical presence has been taken from us, his vision, like a persistent echo in the deepest chambers of our grief, will forever illuminate the path ahead.
