Organ Donation Awareness Day was organised at B.J Medical College and Sassoon Hospital Pune on Friday. Sassoon hospital has been providing low cost organ transplantation for years now.
On this occasion a program was organised by the Department of Medical Education and Medicines, Dr. Naresh Zhanjad while speaking at the event talked about the brain dead human organ donation, the vitality of awareness by the staff and students of the college. Dr. Vijay Jadhav dictated the oath which was followed by all the present members. On this occasion Rangoli Competition, Elocution Competition, essay writing competition and Poster Presentation were organised .
Dr. Sanjiv Thakur Dean of the BJ Medical College , Vice President Aarti Kinikar,Dr. Ajay Tavere, Head of the PSM Department. Dr .Vijay Jadhav, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr .Jagannath Dixit, Medical Superintendent,Dr. Swati Shah, Nursing Principal, Yellapa Jadhav, Cultural Adviser of Student Council,Dr. Harish Tatia, State Level Coordinator, and Nursing Matron Kalpana Kamble were present at the event.
