5 Common Types of Knee Supports
Choosing the right knee support can make a huge difference in comfort and recovery. Here’s a quick guide:
1. Closed Patellar Support
Covers the kneecap fully. Provides overall compression and warmth, ideal for mild knee pain and swelling.
2. Open Patellar Support

* Sit with a cushion behind your lower back → supports your spine’s natural curve & prevents strain
* Keep feet flat & back supported while watching TV → balances body weight & reduces lower back pressure
* Prop your book/tablet at eye level in bed → avoids bending the neck, reducing cervical stress
