A recent survey by ENOTH Foundation has revealed a troubling truth, Indian cities are drowning in noise pollution, with unnecessary honking being one of the leading culprits. Those bearing the heaviest toll are the traffic police personnel.
In response, ENOTH Foundation and Pune City Police have joined hands to launch the 'No Honk Movement', a timely initiative on the occasion of World Hearing Day. Mr. Manoj Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), is leading the charge, urging all Punekars to be more mindful behind the wheel and think twice before they reach for that horn.
Because every unnecessary honk is a sound someone else has to suffer.
