It is important to restructure Physical therapy education in India making it more of a clinical doctrate like the United States and now Australia and UK. A more profound Clinical education based on updated clinical trends and protocols amalgamated with advanced clinical research could help enable the goals of various Physio bodies in the subcontinent.

Previously, state law only allowed patients to get treated by physical therapists after they received a physician’s referral.
