Navratri is a significant festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, observed over nine nights, each night symbolizing a different form of the goddess and a different aspect of spiritual practice. The eighth day of Navratri is called Ashtami (or Durga Ashtami), and it is considered one of the most important days in the celebration. And is dedicated to mahagauri

Simple process to make best use of durga ashtami

1. Meditation
2. Easy Mantras for Ashtami:
Durga Mantra (easy to chant):
"Om Dum Durgayei Namah" (ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः)
Meaning: This mantra calls upon Goddess Durga's protection and strength.
Chant this mantra 108 times with focus, either aloud or silently, during meditation.
Gayatri Mantra (optional):
"Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat"
Meaning: This is a universal mantra for divine energy and spiritual growth.
Chant it 3 times or as much as you like.
3. Daan (Charity) on Ashtami:
Feed young girls (Kanya Pujan):
Offer food to 9 young girls (usually below the age of 10). These girls represent the 9 forms of Goddess Durga.
Donate food or grains:
Donate rice, flour, or sweets to someone in need or to a temple.
Give clothes or money:
Donate new clothes or a small sum of money to help others, which brings blessings and prosperity.
