Proud to be part of the organising committee, engaging with mentors, peers, and the next generation of spine surgeons shaping the future of our specialty.

A special highlight was serving as faculty for the cadaveric course on Anterior Lumbar Exposure at AFMC, training 50 surgeons from across India.
Precision in anterior exposure is the cornerstone of safe, reproducible ALIF and disc replacement surgery — and cadaveric teaching remains the gold standard.

Grateful for platforms that allow us to standardise techniques, improve safety, and raise the bar in spine surgery education.

Surgeons before long scoliosis surgeries be like… 🏋️‍♂️🩺

Early morning.
Not in the OT yet.
In the gym.

Because surgeons are athletes too.

Creating Awareness in Spine Care
Chronic back pain due to disc degeneration is increasingly affecting young and active individuals.
Lumbar disc replacement is a motion-preserving, minimally invasive surgery, done through a small abdominal incision, allowing faster recovery and a potential return to full activity — when performed for the right patient.
This advanced procedure is performed by very few spine surgeons in India, and I am grateful to be the first spine surgeon in Pune to introduce and perform it.

Unlike spine fusion, which permanently restricts movement at the operated level, disc replacement aims to maintain flexibility and reduce stress on adjacent spinal segments, making it particularly suitable for younger and active individuals.

✨ Dreams do come true! ✨

Had an amazing weekend at IIM Ahmedabad for the Executive Program — a place I’ve always wanted to learn from. Walking through those iconic red-brick corridors felt surreal! ❤️

Met some of the brightest minds in management and leaders in orthopaedics and spine surgery — the exchange of ideas was truly inspiring. 💡

The sessions on strategy, entrepreneurship, and financial management gave me a whole new perspective on how to build sustainable, patient-focused healthcare practices. 🙌

Grateful for the experience, the learning, and the inspiration to keep growing — both as a doctor and as a leader. 🌱

Grateful for an amazing academic weekend! 🙌

Had the privilege of being faculty & moderator at the ASSI Operative Spine Course at St. Regis, Mumbai — discussing Anterior Lumbar Body Fusion, Lumbar Disc Replacement & Cervical Disc Replacement.

Also got to convene the cadaver course on Anterior Lumbar Spine Exposure at DY Patil Hospital, Navi Mumbai. Loved the hands-on sessions, sharing experiences, and interacting with so many bright young spine surgeons & fellows.

This one was extra special — had my mentor, Dr. Ravi Bains, as co-faculty. Grateful for the journey and the chance to keep learning & teaching alongside him 🙏

Huge thanks to Dr. Dheeraj Sonawane, Dr. Tushar Rathod & Dr. Sameer Dalvi for organizing such a fantastic academic event and setting new benchmarks for spine education! 💪
