It is as common as gingivitis. Very common cause is poor oral hygiene or food getting stuck around implant prosthesis for more time.
Signs and symptoms includes bleeding on brushing,localised swelling around implant prosthesis, pockets, bone loss around the neck of implant prosthesis.

Treatment includes deep cleaning or curettage

Brushing and flossing around implant prosthesis as same as other natural teeth can avoid inflammation and give a long term durability.
