Our Consultant Dr. Amit Singh presented a poster at RSSDI 2025 - Kochi about an unusual case of Ketosis in a patient with pancreatic damage due to stones.
Usually in pancreatic damage this does not occur due to the absence of a hormone called Glucagon .
In a curious collection of circumstances this rare occurrence happened and it was correctly diagnosed and precisely managed at Chellaram Diabetes Institute & the patient was eventually transitioned to an Automated Insulin Delivery System (Artificial Pancreas System).
