Another story of kissing Glass Ionomer Restorations that failed the test of time..

Kindly understand the importance of crowns and rightful diagnosis and treatment.

Have lately come across so many Glass ionomer dentists doing patchy work. Packing glass ionomer on infected dentin and expecting the restoration to stay.

P.S. This inadvertently makes the patient lose trust in the long run when they either land with Acute dento alveolar abscess as in this case or they have entered the rigmarole of repeated GIC restorations.

It is sad to see this wen clinicians put the child through the pain that could have been averted by rightful treatment. (Food for thought)
