25 years after completing MBBS, we finally pressed pause on our busy lives and came together again—this time in the beautiful setting of Goa. The white coats were gone, the responsibilities had multiplied, but the smiles, laughter, and bonds were exactly the same.

Seeing old friends after so many years was emotional. Faces had matured, hairlines had changed, and stories had grown richer—but the connection remained untouched.

Goa added magic to the reunion. Long conversations by the beach, laughter over meals, music, dancing, and late-night chats made us realize how much we had missed each other.

There was something deeply comforting about being among people who truly understand your journey. The reunion reminded us that no matter where life has taken us, we all started from the same place, dreaming the same dreams.

As we hugged goodbye, there was gratitude in our hearts—for friendship that survived distance and time, for memories that still make us smile.

Glaucoma is a disease of the eye in which when the pressure inside gets high it affects the optic nerve. The optic nerve is important for the vision of the eye. If the nerve starts losing its nerve fibres. This process is irreversible. That means once there is loss of nerve fibres they cannot regenerate. And the nerve starts getting weak . Eventually that eye loose the vision.

How to avoid it??
1. Get regular eye check up done with an ophthalmologist.
2. If you are above 40, then once a year check up is a must. As Glaucoma does not show any symptoms.

How will doctor diagnose the problem?
Your eye doctor will perform certain eye tests like measuring eye pressure,
detailed check of optic nerve clinically as well as certain tests like OCT to confirm the diagnosis.

How to treat or cure Glaucoma?
There is no permanent cure to glaucoma like Diabetes or hypertension but you can still keep it under control by putting eye drops prescribed by the doctor. These drops will keep eye pressure at optimum level and delay the damage.

Do not ignore the symptoms or treat your eyes with over the counter eye drops.
Get your eyes checked with an eye specialist. As treatment for red eyes will vary depending upon your diagnosis.

Burning sensation, watering, tired feeling of the eyes, rubbing and itchy eyes all or few are the signs of dry eyes.
If you have a lot of screen time 💻⌨️📱 , follow the 20:20:20 rule of computer break,
blink frequently and
keep yourself hydrated.
