Dr Hrushikesh Mehata is specially trained in and has done certified national & international fellowships in after doing his post graduation in Orthopaedics . (Association of Spine Surgeons of India Fellowship in Mumbai & Spinal Deformity Fellowship at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, UK)

He has good experience in treating only cases for last four years. He is ultra-specialist and deals only with spinal problems.

We encourage you to try non-surgical treatments first. If you don’t need surgery we at Spine Care Clinic won’t suggest surgery. We are strong believers that surgery should be left as a last resort. We encourage all of our patients to try other spine treatment methods that allow the body to heal itself as long as there is no danger in waiting. Be aware that extended time in pain without surgery may lead to permanent nerve damage with suboptimal results and chronic pain, numbness or weakness.

Your safety is our number one priority. We will be there for every minute of your surgery to make sure you are safe and well cared for.

You will be under constant care & supervision even in post-operative follow up period. When you come back to the clinic for post-operative follow up, our lead Dr. Hrushikesh Mehata shall personally examine your progress. We do not have nurse practitioners taking care of you. Even something as simple as removing staples or stitches is something he will do himself.

We believe that “less is more” and will always use the most minimal access surgery when possible. Our spine surgery expertise runs from “Band-Aid” per cutaneous spinal procedures to open fusions.

Dr Hrushikesh Mehata is specially trained in spine surgery. After completing MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics from the renowned B J Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune in 2012, he was amongst the one of the few candidates in India who were selected for 2 years exclusive Spine Fellowship by Association of Spine Surgeons of India during which he was trained in all kinds of spinal surgeries and procedures. He worked for almost 3 years in Spine Unit at Lilavati Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital & V.N.Desai Hospital, Mumbai. He successfully completed Association of Spine Surgeons Of India Fellowship & bagged gold medal for it. His training was further continued & became more specialized when he was selected for fellowship at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, UK in spinal deformity. Dr. Hrushikesh Mehata is a Life Member of Association of Spine Surgeons of India & Indian Orthopaedic Association. He is also member of AO Spine. He has co-authored Chapter on Spinal tuberculosis in Textbook of Thoracic Spine by WFNS Committee, Jaypee Publications. He also has several national & international presentations related to Spine in his name.
