So much happening in this Quadrant case!
A class 2 extremely close to the pulp saved with theracal and decoupling with time. Another endodontic therapy on a premolar restored with a direct restoration, decoupling with fibres and fibre reinforced composite. A couple of Class 1s restored with C factor and polymerization shrinkage compensation. 4 teeth - all different scenarios but restored with one versatile material : Composite!
If they don't work for you, maybe you should start thinking about protocols to handle resin better.
How would you restore the case ?

Be prepared because someday your chance will come!
These two days of TRAIN THE TRAINER by 3M have been unreal ...from interacting with like minded people to catching some candid conversations and being exposed to so much research and evidence based science that will help me teach better and deliver better smiles!
I thank 3M for the opportunity and look forward to my journey ahead !

Nature v/s Perfection
Not all of my patients agree for a full mouth rehabilitation but doing a good job in the existing dentition will ensure they come back to you when they are ready to take that step.
Composite Restoration as a long term interim here to manage that chip and decay.

Formally trained in Cosmetic Dentistry, I've evolved and crossed over to Aesthetic dentistry over time.

What's the difference I'm often asked... the answer is pretty simple according to me. I'm here to create bespoke smiles while giving minimally invasive solutions to my patients which makes their smile look natural instead of a white wash.

This 32 year old wanted to get veneers done to correct her proclination and teeth textures. The preparation for veneers would not only be invasive but also take away healthy enamel that can never come back! Solution - we showed her digitally the amount of aggressive preparations we would have to do and instead how an aligner therapy would get her teeth into the right positions before we beautify them on a solid foundation.

Holistic treatments and interdisciplinary approaches are what sets apart. We think about long term solutions while delivering the smile our patients always wanted.

Can we save this tooth?
Me - If I can isolate it, I will save it!
Resin and saliva don't go together. I come from the thought process of total isolation using rubber dams and cotton rolls simply don't cut it for me.
This one's a part of a bigger story and we begin Full mouth rehabilitation from next month after some implant placements this month.
Interesting technique here - matrix in matrix with the underdog but unspoken hero of Restorative dentistry, Teflon bringing that magic here.
Would you save this?

Case of the week.
Patient reported with tongue thrusting and flared out teeth. Immediate placements were done in the mandibular centrals with temporaries before she flew back and we closed the diastemas to achieve balance and harmony with emax restorations.

Management of multiple Class V defects with teflon and composite resin.
Teflon can work like magic for such defects and works definitely better than retraction cords without separating. It is less time consuming than rubber dam and brinker and provides equivalent isolation when it comes to maxillary anteriors.
The only downside, teflon can stick to your packing instrument due to static and just dipping the instrument slightly in water while packing can do the trick.. try it the next time you see someone with multiple lesions and let us know if it worked!
No cervical overhangs means happy gums!
We will be discussing many simple tips that make restorative dentistry a breeze on 11th and 12th January, 2025 in Pune.

Fresh out!
Part of a bigger story - full mouth rehabilitation.
Emax monolithic veneers to correct the bimax protrusion and open bite caused by tongue thrusting.
Corrected shape, shade and loss of occlusal anatomy in this case. Diagnosis is key in treating such cases. History taking and finding the patient's habits can unlock the key factor in correcting the root cause of their occlusal problems. Anterior and canine guidance finally in place that will result in longevity of the restorations and a stable bite in static and dynamic occlusion!
