With so many ways to learn, those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may look to homeopathy as tool to help with focus. A double blind, partial crossover study was conducted looking at the effectiveness of homeopathy on children with ADHD. Homeopathic remedies or placebo were given to parent or care givers to administer to their children. After 10 days, the children in the placebo group were also given homeopathic remedies. Statistical comparisons were made based on parent or care giver ratings of ADHD behavior before and after treatment. Scores were compared between the two groups (placebo and controlled), as well as a comparison of scores of the placebo group before and after taking the homeopathic remedy. Statistically significant differences were found for both comparisons, supporting the hypothesis that homoeopathic treatment is superior to placebo treatment for ADHD.
