On May 16, a leadership team from the Veruschka Foundation visited Navksh*tij and met our Managing Trustee, Prof. Smita Shetty.

This year, the foundation organised the “Cook for Change” cooking competition, in which Navksh*tij actively participated. Our special friend Manali won the 1st prize along with a prize money of ₹1 lakh. 👏✨

During the meeting, both teams also discussed future collaboration plans and upcoming programmes for the empowerment and inclusion of persons with intellectual disabilities.

On May 15, 2026, employees from NICE visited our Marunji centre under their Employee Engagement Programme. They donated an air cooler for our special friends.

The visitors and our special friends had a wonderful time together, enjoying fun games and interactive activities. The visit created a joyful and energetic atmosphere at the centre.

At the end of the programme, the team members stated that they experienced positivity at our centre and were touched to see the happiness on the faces of our special friends.

On May 6, 2026, we organised a joyful one-day picnic at a tourist destination near Pune – Anand Krushi Paryatan Kendra, Morachi Chincholi. 🌿🦚

This trip was specially planned for our adults with intellectual disabilities who could not visit their homes during the summer vacation. While many families enjoy tours and picnics during this season, we wanted our special friends to feel equally loved, included and happy. We may not be parents by blood, but we are connected emotionally. ❤️

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Our special friends enjoyed swimming, bullock cart rides, tractor rides, ropeway activities, magic shows, outdoor games and many more rural experiences. It was truly a day full of dhamal and happiness! 🎉

Along with the participants, our staff members also enjoyed the trip while responsibly taking care of everyone and making the experience safe and memorable for all.

On April 25, a team from Accenture visited Navksh*tij as part of their Employee Engagement Programme. Around 40 enthusiastic employees joined us. The event was filled with fun games, a drawing competition, dance, and moments of true connection. It beautifully reflected the spirit of inclusion and togetherness. The day concluded with light snacks and happy smiles all around. Thank you, Accenture, for making it so special!

✨ *Annual Shopping Program 2026 – A Day of Joy & Inclusion* ✨

Navksh*tij has been proudly organising this greatly-loved event, the Annual Shopping Programme for our special friends, for over a decade. 💛

This special initiative gives Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PwIDs) the opportunity to choose and buy things independently, thereby helping build confidence, enhancing decision-making skills, and adding a great sense of happiness to their lives. 🛍️

📍 On April 15, 2026, we conducted this event at the Grand Highstreet Mall.

✨ 100+ special friends participated.
✨ They were supported by 50 staff & volunteers.
✨ Enthusiastic volunteers from Modern College and Deccan Education Society joined hands with us.

The experience was made even more meaningful as our special friends used the money they earned at the workshop, along with contributions from Navksh*tij to shop. 💪💙

A heartfelt thank you to the management of Grand Highstreet Mall for their continued support and for sponsoring snacks, making the day even more enjoyable for everyone. 🙏

Together, we are creating moments of independence, dignity, and joy. 🌈
