The recently concluded 42nd MOACON 2026 was truly a celebration of Legacy, Leadership and Learning — blending innovation, pursuing excellence and harnessing talent.
As the Patron of MOACON 2026, it was an honour to witness the coming together of brilliant minds at the Hyatt Regency, Viman Nagar, Pune.
It was a pleasure to be Convenor for multiple academic sessions including Shoulder Arthroscopy, Knee Cartilage, Multiligament Instability. Each session reflected the depth of evolving orthopaedic science and the importance of collaborative learning.
I also had the opportunity to contribute as faculty during the session on Vision for MOA – Lessons in Leadership and Administration, sharing insights on leadership beyond clinical practice.
One of the most meaningful discussions was the session on“Orthopedic Stalwarts in Philanthropic Work where I presented on ‘ Philantrophy – How It can be a part of your day to day life.’ This session highlighted how while continuing our profession, how we can still do philantrophic work.
The session on AR/VR & Simulation in Orthopaedics showcased how digital technology is reshaping training, precision and the future of our specialty.
We also had a SIOR Alumni Meet & Greet event & it was great to reconnect with generations of alumni who continue to carry forward a shared vision of excellence.
My sincere gratitude to the Dr. Narayan Karne, Dr.Sachin Abane, Dr. Shailesh Hadgaonkar & entire Organising committee who tirelessly worked round the clock to make MOACON 2026 a resounding success. Also, special thanks to President Dr. Sampat Dumbre Patil and Secretary Dr. Abhijeet Wahegaonkar for all their efforts to make MOACON 2026 a resounding success.
Conferences like these reaffirm that orthopaedics is not just a science — it is a collective commitment to innovation, education and service.
