A simple ingredients sitting in our cabinets can shift body’s fighting system to better and we don’t really know about it!
In Indian kitchens, baking soda is limited only for western kind of baking and not at all used for traditional recipes.
But if used correctly, it can do wonders on our gut health and reduce body inflammation to a great extent.
Today’s bodies are constantly exposed to stress, (whether physical or mental) and that leads to inflammation and inflammation is the root cause of almost all diseases.

Do this BURP TEST at home using baking soda
Add a tsp of soda (Not ENO) in a glass of water and drink it.
Wait for the burp
If you burp within 1-2 minutes, you have good amount of stomach acids
If you burp after very long or dont burp at all- you have low stomach acids
Having good stomach acids is an indication of good digestive power.

And if you have low stomach acids, you can have soda water once a week or once in 2 weeks.
P.S.- This does not include eno, packed soda water, aerated beverages and soft drinks.

How to build a healthy sandwich??
Choose a good quality bread it can be multigrain or any type.. sourdough breads are a better choice, otherwise any bread is equally healthy/unhealthy
But you can amp up the nutrient content by adding lots of veggies which will provide good amount of fibers
Then very important- a kind of protein be it paneer or chicken or eggs or sprouts/legumes etc. it helps in releasing glucose steadily , also provides satiety
And some healthy fat- to absorb all essential fat soluble vitamins and give a taste😉
Add microgreens/lettuce/ seeds for extra boost of health!
A series of healthy sandwiches is coming soon!😊
Stay tuned!

As per our poll 45% ppl are stressed 50-60% of the times and 45% feel stressed EVERYDAY!
Even i come in the later 45% 😃

Why is stress so prominent today?
There is so much of competition, so much of things to do and very little time. Many people or my clients complain that “they don’t have time “ to sing, to exercise, to write, to read, to meditate, to talk to an old friend , to simply just pause!
But sometimes its okay to take things slow..
It’s okay to live your life , sometimes my toddler slows me down, I can’t walk fast because of him and sometimes I get frustrated but then I think its okay if I walk slow , I am spending more time with him and myself!
So its okay if we take such small pauses everyday. We can communicate with ourselves, we can figure out whats going right whats going wrong!
Getting anxious everyday keeps our stress hormones level high all the time and it causes lot of cellular damage, it affect the glow of our skin, it can cause hairloss, it can put us at risk for many diseases
So always take a moment to, take a few deep breaths, make a little room for Me-time and self care🌸

Dum Aloo!
I have a little memory about dum aloo. In my college, for our cooking practical my group had to make dum aloo, we were given the recipe. We were supposed to make a dry mix of spices, but the mixer grinder was not working. So our teacher asked us to run down at the main lab and use पाटा वरवंटा to grind the spices.
We were so frustrated and had never used it and were like what kind of system is this, why cant they fix the mixer if they run a cooking lab?! But we had no choice and made the paste on पाटा.. it took us soo long. Everyone did it one by one because no one was used to it.. finally made the paste after a lot of sweat and tears 😄and oh my god.. how divine the spices smelled! And our dum aloo tasted spectacular in the entire class, till date i haven’t eaten such tasty dum aloo😃 sometimes classics stand out in the age of fast moving trends!
Whenever i make/eat dum aloo, this memory immediately comes to my mind. After all , life is all about the memories.
As we grow older, all we are left with is memories of people, memories of smells, memories of tastes, of places and importantly, memories of our old self!❤️

ARE YOU AN OVERTHINKER?? As per the poll I created, 85% people are!
If you’ve thoughts constantly running over the mind, if you overanalyze a certain situation/issue or a conversation, if these thoughts can make you restless, anxious, then probably you are OVERTHINKER.
_
I’m an overthinker. Sometimes, I can’t sleep because constantly there are different thoughts in my mind. I consciously try not to surface my overthinking to be noticed, but yes, I do overanalyze.
Sometimes I want to buy something, I search for so many options, go through 1000s of products, think of it so many times that I end up buying nothing at all.
Overthinking drains your energy more than a physical activity.
And let me tell you it’s not good for health
_
Why?
❗sometimes the solution is right there but we overcomplicate the things and go far away from solutions. ❗can kill productive and creative mind.
❗releases stress hormones in the body and creates negativity.
❗constant stress is a risk factor for all diseases.
❗lack of sleep due to thinking can result in hormonal imbalance, weight gain, dull skin, hair and brain health.
❗constant thinking and depressing ourselves with thoughts can create negativity, cranky moods, hyperness, anger and uncontrollable feelings.
_

🌸When you realize you’re overthinking. Just stop there, take a deep breath and look around and leave the topic.
🌸Daily Meditation can solve many mind problems.
🌸don’t give too much of attention to the people or problems around you, sometimes worrying about a problem is much bigger than the actual problem.
Think of a solution and leave it there.
🌸consciously try and create blank mind while sleeping.
🌸Always speak out your worries, write it down or directly talk with the person itself whom you have problems with. Writing down your worries, stop right there and think no more..and next day you will feel the problem was actually very small.
🌸try it out and let me know 😇

How much body positive are you?
🤔
Do you often complain about your looks whenever you see yourself in the mirror?
Do you crib about your thighs/eyes/colour/hair/teeth/belly not being good enough?
Do you see insta models or actors and wonder how someone can be so beautiful but not me?
Do you try to fit in a specific size or a number on the weighing scale to reach "your" idea of being beautiful?
Do you hate any part of your body?
If most of the answers are yes, then dearies, you're body shaming yourselves.
Do not judge your body or your features compared with others.
You are born this way and embrace that.
People used to bodyshame me saying 'you're so tall' 'you're thin' 'You're not fair' 'this is not so good' 'that is a little better' and all that affected me in my teens/blew off my confidence. Even i used to think I am really ugly 😁..But now I have gone all beyond that, I have realized nothing is good enough for people.
So
Work on your inner beauty, peaceful mind and a healthy body. That will take you longer. . .
