On this World Day for Safety and Health at Work, here’s your reminder to ask yourself: How’s work?

This year, the International Labor Organization (ILO) is promoting a healthy psychosocial work environment!
What is your psychosocial environment? It includes everything from your workload and time to role clarity and support. When these factors clash, it directly impacts your mental health. The fallout manifests as chronic stress, anxiety and burnout.

Here’s what an open and psychologically safe workplace feels like:

Inclusive: A place free of bias and unfair treatment. No discrimination, harassment or isolation.

Meaningful: A place that treats each employee as a human, not a tool for their growth.

Supportive: A place that promotes positive team spirit and doesn’t pit employees against each other.

Transparent: A place that communicates expectations clearly. No hidden workload and no unspoken tasks!

At Therapseed, we believe that while work is unavoidable, work stress is completely avoidable in the workplace!

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute as a resource person for ICDS Supervisors, CDPOs, and DPOs from Manipur, Meghalaya, and Sikkim on the important topic of identifying early signs of mental health concerns in children (0–6 years).

Early identification can truly shape a child’s developmental journey, and it was encouraging to engage with such committed professionals working at the grassroots level.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Pranami Tamuly (Assistant Director, Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development, Regional Centre Guwahati,Assam), Arpita Goenka for recommending me for this opportunity, and Ashwas Mental Health for their constant support and guidance.

Looking forward to continuing this work towards strengthening early childhood mental health systems.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2021 . With today theme by WHO: Mental health in Unequal World ; We as a professional would bring out the notice, that there are huge number of people who are unable to excess mental health services in India and globally. WHO’s report say approximately 95-75% of the population globally is unable to access the basic mental health services due to poverty, gender, and even accessibility to travel and reach out for help.

This has made bring up the difference between the haves and have-not’s.

We wish you to spread as much awareness and bring equal accessibility towards receiving mental health care for each and every in need.

Social anxiety can be seen observed with minimum 5-7 symptoms from either of the areas ;physical,behavioural or cognitive.

The diagnosis can be only considered with either of the symptoms. There can be comorbid disorders, such as anxiety disorder, depression and even low-self esteem.
