The SIT probing the death by su***de of Confident Group chairman Chiriankandath Joseph Roy, popularly known as , has found that he was dealing with severe mental stress and depression, and undergoing counselling by a psychiatrist.

A day before Roy took the extreme step, he is said to have met the psychiatrist in Jayanagar.

While most parents mark exam season by celebrating their children's academic successes, a couple in Karnataka took a different approach. In a show of unconditional support, they hosted a party to celebrate their son’s failure in the Class 10 board exams — not to glorify the result, but to acknowledge his sincere efforts. Abhishek Cholachagudda, a student of Basaveshwar English Medium School in Bagalkot, Karnataka, scored only 200 out of 600 marks (around 32%) and failed in all six subjects.

While serving as the UAE’s Ambassador to France, she launched an initiative that brought survivors of domestic violence from French shelters to a place of healing in Abu Dhabi.

Now back in the UAE, she continues that work - building regional partnerships, including with Sayyida Basma Al Said of Oman, to support long-term mental health and recovery.
