Celebration of WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY at PRATHAM CLINIC, Pune by distributing automated BP monitors to some of our hypertensive patients.
It will be of great convenience to them in order to monitor their blood pressure at home for multiple times.
The initiative was lauded by all our patients,and we shall continue doing this in future,for sure!

Here's what happened in the year gone by. A moment of pride for us at Pratham Clinic to review our achievements and activities.

🟠 We started a partnership with AS DIAGNOSTICS for our lab needs,with them having multiple tie ups with the leading laboratories for processing different types of samples. The tie up is working smooth and satisfactorily.

🟡 Dr Chinmay was invited to deliver a lecture on "DIABETES : A SILENT KILLER" by Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) on 21st January 2023. The lecture was attended by most members of ISAS and was a great chance of interaction.

🟣 Multiple camps were conducted this year too,for different groups of beneficiary patients.,most of which were free of cost. These were very helpful for our patients who require regular monitoring of their medical conditions.

🟤 Dr Chinmay Naik got an opportunity to feature on radio on the topic of dyspepsia. It was broadcast multiple times in a day on RED FM 93.5 Mhz.

⚫️ Dr Chinmay Naik was invited to educate the staff of the CONRAD HOTEL,Pune about the health problems due to to***co consumption on "No to***co day"-01 June

🟡 A video of Dr Chinmay Naik speaking on the topic of NASH-Non alcoholic steato-hepatitis was published by ZYDUS on their official page. Videos of a few expert doctors were recorded and published in this context, and we're proud that Dr Chinmay is one amongst them.

🟢 Our go green initiative (planting a tree and caring for it) in association with certain pharmaceutical companies was applauded by eminent people in various fields. This gives us immense satisfaction and craving to do more.

🟠 The biggest news of the year : we started with our own unit of dispensing medicines at Pratham Clinic,in an effort to make all the prescribed medicines available to the patient under one roof and to avoid unnecessary replacements. Our inventory has been growing steadily and this effort is being applauded by all our patients.

🔴 Dr Chinmay had the opportunity to connect to multiple audience in different MNCs regarding diabetes as a part of their staff education. The streak of such invited talks shall continue in the new year as well.

As many of you are aware,we are currently having a lot of patients of viral/ bacterial respiratory tract infection. These are spread via air(droplets).

To avoid the spread of these infections, we have disinfected our Pratham Clinic just before closing for Diwali holidays.

Today,as we resume our services, we can assure you that NONE of our patients will get cross infected because of some air borne infection.

That's what we mean : "PRATHAM - THE PATIENT FIRST!"

Discussing a matter close to our heart today.

🌱 Making the Earth greener is a shared responsibility that requires collective efforts.Tree planting initiatives can help combat deforestation and promote biodiversity. Supporting sustainable agriculture practices and reducing meat consumption lessens the environmental footprint. Public transportation, carpooling, or opting for electric vehicles reduce air pollution.

🌱 Planting a tree is a simple yet powerful act that holds profound implications for our environment and future generations. Trees are the lungs of our planet, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. When we plant a tree, we contribute to mitigating climate change, improving air quality, and fostering biodiversity.

🌱 Shouldering our responsibility in this domain, we have started planting trees with the help of big pharmacy professionals on a large scale. Attaching some photos to inspire everyone who reads this post.

⚕️ We are completing 6 years of service, and entering 7th year.
⚕️ Like with every anniversary, we are beginning with a new project at Pratham Clinic . We are starting with a medicine dispensing counter,wherein we shall make all the medicines prescribed by our doctors available. We believe it will be of great help to our patients as most of the times it becomes difficult to get the exact prescribed medicines in the nearby pharmacy.
Now on,our patients shall get doctor consultation, lab tests and medicines- all under one roof.
That's what we proudly call ourselves as :" PRATHAM - THE PATIENT FIRST "!

🔶️We celebrated the Doctor's day this year by combining 2 activities - a public awareness campaign consisting of a popular lecture on DIABETES followed by a QnA session, and a camp for testing random sugar and neuropathy screening for our patients. The activity was arranged in association with MANKIND PHARMA and MICRO LABS.

🔷️With a short notice of just 48 hours prior to the camp,we got an amusing response with 35 plus registrations for the camp. We are glad to have such a solid trust of our patients,and look forward to retain it continously!

💠Every patient was given a report of the screening and some advice,as needed. All the attendees expressed satisfaction about the camp. We are grateful for those who attended the camp,and look forward for similar support for all our future endeavors.

We celebrated "world no to***co day" by delivering an informal talk by Dr Chinmay Naik about the harms of to***co uses. This event was organized by ICICI LOMBARD insurance company for the employees of CONRAD,Pune in association with Pratham Clinic.

The event was attended by 40 odd employees, who were gracious and enthusiastic enough after a long day's work. The talk was received attentively and everyone pledged to quit smoking by striking a pose at the end.

We are happy to lend our small share in the humongous effort by WHO to spread awareness about the harms of to***co use, and will continue to do so.

Celebrating the "WORLD LIVER DAY" today by sharing some knowledge and a recent related to the topic.
The images attached will give a fair idea of maintaining liver health.

🔴 This patient,a 19-year old male,presented with reduced apetite,weakness and frequent vomiting-suspecting food poisoning. He gave a history of eating street food quite often. On a close examination,it was revealed that his eyes had a yellowish tinge. It was clearly evident that the street food was responsible for the illness,which was far from just food poisoning.

🟣 The patient was investigated, and as expected the liver function tests showed multiple issues (bilirubin was very high,as were SGOT and SGPT). Hepatitis antigen tests confirmed it to be INFECTIOUS VIRAL HEPATITIS.

🟤 The patient was put on a strict diet,bed rest and the oral medications were started. His college was informed about the disease and a leave was granted by them. The patient was asked to come for regular follow ups. All the other family members were also screened,none of them were fortunately found to be infected.

🟠 Gradual improvement in the situation was confirmed with improving apetite, reduced weakness and overall increased energy levels of the patient.

🟢 Within 3 weeks,the patient was clinically alright,energetic and the blood counts confirmed the recovery. The patient could join the college without any residual weakness or persistent symptoms.
