Not really. You’ve been told a half-truth.

Carrots only contain Beta-Carotene, which is just a precursor to Vitamin A. Your body must convert it into Retinol, the active form of Vitamin A that supports 👁️ eye health, 🛡️ immunity, 🧠 brain function, and 🦴 bone health.

Here’s the catch 👉 That conversion isn’t efficient for most people. Only 10–25% of Beta-Carotene actually becomes Vitamin A, and it depends on:
🔹 Your genes (BCMO1 variants)
🔹 Adequate iron, zinc & healthy fats
🔹 Optimal gut & thyroid health
