At Rainbow Day Care Centre, creativity has no age. In our recent activity, aajji-ajobas came together for collage-making. Cutting, pasting, arranging, and most importantly, expressing.

This simple yet engaging exercise gave our aajji-ajobas a chance to stimulate memory, improve focus, enhance motor skills, and share stories as they worked with colors and images. Each collage became a window into their thoughts, interests, and experiences.

More than just an art activity, it helped create a moment of joy, connection, and meaningful engagement, it was a gentle reminder for us that staying creative keeps the mind and spirit healthy.

This year’s Ganpati decorations hold a special charm at Rainbow Day Care Centre, every element was made by our aajji-ajobas themselves during creative and competitive sessions at the centre. Working in teams, they poured their ideas, skills, and joy into crafting pieces that came together beautifully for the celebrations.

Yes, we're holding different competitions for them during Ganpati and the spirit at the centre is just so wonderful.

More than just decoration, it became a meaningful engagement, filled with laughter, teamwork, and the spirit of festivity.

This season Rainbow Day Care Centre was filled with friendly competitions and cheerful participation.
All the activities were not just about winning, but about the drive, the effort, and the joy of staying active for overall wellness. Our aajji-ajobas enjoyed the process, putting in that little extra effort to make their participation effective.

The activities and areas of competition were chosen thoughtfully, ensuring that they could put their best foot forward while also engaging their physical health, motor skills, and mental well-being. For us as therapists, it also served as an important observation of their progress.

🇮🇳 Independence Day at Rainbow Day Care Centre 🇮🇳

Our Independence Day celebration this year was filled with flavours, and memories. The highlight was the Tiranga Sandwiches, lovingly prepared by our staff and preparations done by aajji-ajobas.

What seemed like a simple activity turned into something truly fulfilling, a therapeutic exercise for motor skills, and more importantly, a chance to sit together, share stories, and relive the charm of the olden days.

At Rainbow, every celebration is not just about tradition, but about creating moments of joy, connection, and healthy engagement.

Here are the glimpses of our annual Rainy Season Picnic, it was everything we hoped for, and more. From engaging activities and fun games to hearty meals, good rest, and endless conversations, our seniors truly made the most of the day.

The gentle rains added their own charm, but it was the warm bonding, shared laughter, and care for each other that made this picnic truly meaningful. Every detail was thoughtfully planned so that our aajji-ajobas could simply enjoy, relax, and create memories together.

Festivals are more than rituals for us at Rainbow Day Care Centre —they are a reminder that we belong, that we are seen, and that joy multiplies when shared. Our Nag-Panchami celebration at the centre was filled with a lot of warmth.

Our ajjis and ajobas enjoyed the festive spirit in the company of their friends at Rainbow, in what truly feels like a home away from home. Here, they get the best of both worlds—the comfort of their homes and the liveliness of a shared community.

Adding to the joy, our staff applied mehendi on everyone’s palms—a small but heartfelt gesture that brought big smiles and sparked conversations full of memories.

Last week, our centre was filled with gratitude, stories, and wisdom as we celebrated Guru Pournima in a truly special way.

Our ajji-ajobas at Rainbow Day Care Centre shared heartfelt reflections about the gurus in their own families — those who shaped their values, inspired their paths, and quietly guided them through life’s turning points.

Some spoke of parents and life partners, or a close relative, some of the teachers and mentors, and some of children and grandchildren who became unexpected sources of learning.

It was a gentle reminder that a guru is not always someone with a title, but someone whose presence changes you for the better.

A lovely celebration that unfolded over 2–3 days — full of memories, laughter, emotions, happy tears, and deep respect for the guiding lights in our lives. 💛

Creating with Care at Rainbow Day Care Centre. This wasn’t just another craft session. Our seniors came together in small groups, sharing ideas and building on each other’s strengths to create thoughtful, theme-based art pieces with a touch of 3D creativity, all of this guided by our facilitator.

The process was engaging, joyful, and meaningful—not just for what was created, but for how it brought everyone together.

This is also a reminder that art isn’t just for expression—it’s also for connection.
