🚀 A historic milestone in Central India’s healthcare journey!
For the first time in Central India, a tele-robotic prostate cancer surgery has been successfully performed in Raipur using the advanced SSI Mantra (3rd Generation) system.
This highly complex surgery was carried out by a joint team led by senior surgeon Dr. Amitabh Singh from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi, along with the expert surgical team of Sanjeevani Cancer Care Hospital, Raipur.
Key contributors to this achievement include Dr. Arpan Chaturmohata (HOD & Director, Surgical Oncology), Dr. Mou Roy (Clinical Director, Sanjeevani Group of Hospitals), Dr. Ghanshyam Hatwar (Urologist), Dr. Vivek Patel, Dr. Kalyan Pandey, and Dr. Vikas Agrawal.
What makes this even more remarkable is that Delhi and Raipur were connected in real time through high-speed internet. The surgeon in Delhi controlled the robotic system and successfully performed the surgery on a patient in Raipur.
This breakthrough is a big step toward removing distance barriers in healthcare and making expert treatment accessible to more patients.
