In continuation of ongoing Alumni Webinar series Chanakya Community College conducted a webinar by our distinguished Alumni ID Mansi Chhugani, Principal Designer of Designer’s art Gallery and Mahavastu Aacharya

Our distinguished Alumni ID Mansi Chhugani, successful practioner since last 20 years explained the students about Mahavastu and shared some tips on Good design practices. She also showcased her various interior projects like villas, showrooms, offices etc and discussed application of Mahavastu philosophy on contemporary interior design. The student’s response was very encouraging and it was a successful interactive session.

In continuation of ongoing expert’s Webinar series Chanakya Community College conducted a webinar on “Importance of Vastu in Interior design” and how a small change can change one’s life by our distinguished Mahavastu Aacharya Vasudha Shukla from Mumbai and Mahavastu Aacharya Manasi Chhugani, Principal Designer of Designer’s art Gallery Raipur on Saturday the 1st of August.

The distinguished expert explained the concept of Mahavastu and how is it different from Vastu. They explained the importance and application of Mahavastu in interiors with examples. They also shared some tips on converting Good design into happy design, designs that will enhance the user experience by providing him more peace and happiness which would eventually lead to more success in whatever he do The students responded enthusiastically and posted many questions. The experts were kind enough to oblige one and all. Over all it was a very interesting and successful session. Principal Ar Anjula Singh concluded with Vote of thanks.

*Draping Styles by Fashion Design students of Chanakya Community College*

Drape ( *arrangement of fabrics in style to form a particular pattern* ) Indicates the fluidity of a garment; how the garment falls/shapes around a core structure. This is one aspects of designing which has received major attention from designers around the world. Experimenting with ways of draping garment open up different new styles and fashion trends.

When it comes to fashion designing courses, the most enthusiastic a student a student can get to design is possibly be with sarees. Form the simplest to the most embellished model, sarees beats any other garment in the range of designs and categories it can come under.

Enthusiastic participation by Students of Chanakya Community College, fashion design department in display of new draping styles in Vogue - to add fervour to the festive season..... No lockdown can stop the glamour and spoil the charm of fashion industry. Fashion design students always ROCK 🤘🏻✌🏻

*Assessment of the quality of finishing material*
&
*Project Management*

Our distinguished Alumni *ID praduman Saraswat* explained the students some of the ways to check the quality of different materials and finishings like plywood , block boards , veneers, etc. He shared some tips on Good project management practices. He also showcased his various interior projects like villas, offices and updated them with current trends in interior design. The student’s response was very encouraging and it was a successful interactive session.

*Third year Interior Design student Rohan Jana of Chanakya Community College* designed a beautiful landscaping for his own residence in the town place according to the family's brief. The special requirement of fresh water fish pond was also accommodated.

*Third year interior design student Nikhil Patel of Chanakya Community College* designed a space for vendors in front of a centrally located garden, as a part of landscape design studio. Site was An underutilized space composed of two gardens at the center of a highly trafficked roundabout in a town. Vehicle traffic occupied over two-thirds of the side path way surface. The redesign shaped new traffic patterns, while creating a more welcoming public space in the square and limiting the traffic to the periphery of the square. Proposed vibrant space dedicated to pedestrians, street vendors, public performances and cyclists with a reflective pool, fountain, seating options, rows of trees, and a performance pavilion.
