🌸 Understanding Irregular Menstrual Cycle

What it means:
An irregular menstrual cycle means that the time between periods keeps changing — sometimes coming too early, too late, or skipping a month. Normal cycles are usually 21–35 days apart.

Common causes:
• Stress or emotional imbalance
• Hormonal changes, especially around puberty or perimenopause
• Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS)
• Thyroid problems
• Weight changes (sudden loss or gain)
• Poor diet or lack of sleep
• Excess exercise or physical exhaustion

When to see a doctor:
👉 If periods are absent for 3 months (and not due to pregnancy)
👉 If there’s heavy bleeding, large clots, or severe cramps
👉 If cycles are too frequent (less than 21 days apart) or very delayed (more than 45 days)
