*Quality of life— dignity in death.*
I still remember being in Class 8 when my grandfather was diagnosed with advanced cancer. Back then, there was no structured palliative care — only love, presence, and basic symptom relief with help from a nearby doctor we could get . We turned his final days into a peaceful, dignified journey at home but I still feel pain was not adequately controlled then as at that time there wasn’t any palliative care available.

Today, palliative care is a recognized medical specialty — one that helps patients and families navigate end-of-life stages with comfort, dignity, and compassion with good symptoms control.

आज आकाशवाणी रायपुर पर “नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान” के अंतर्गत नशे के दुष्प्रभावों पर चर्चा करने का अवसर मिला। दादा जी का रेडियो आज भी याद आता है… और आज उसी रेडियो पर बोलना गर्व और भावनाओं से भर देने वाला अनुभव रहा।

देश को नशा मुक्त बनाने की इस मुहिम में एक छोटी सी भूमिका निभा सका, यही मेरे लिए सबसे बड़ा सम्मान है।

On July 5th, I had the privilege of being part of a large-scale cancer awareness camp organized by Sanjeevani Cancer Care Foundation in collaboration with Patidar Samaj, Raipur at Patidar Bhavan.

More than 400 women actively participated and engaged in discussions around early signs of cancer, lifestyle changes for cancer prevention, and the importance of regular screening.

I was joined by Dr. Mou Roy, Senior Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgeon, as we shared valuable insights and offered consultations as part of our commitment to community-based oncology awareness and palliative support.

📍Let’s continue to empower communities with timely knowledge and compassionate care.
